Audrey Aristeo is a 19 year old artist who explores not only multiple mediums but also out of the box methods. She sketches, paints, inks, and even more. However, one thing in particle happened recently with their art… Audrey used an apple core, in place of a brush, to paint a live model.
This piece looked very detailed and intricate to have been painted with such an abnormal tool. Proportions are executed well and shading is very nice. For me it looks as though the apple core gave an effect similar to that of a charcoal sketch. For Audrey’s class assignment, she was able to choose any unconventional painting material she wanted to use and she just happened to have eaten an apple. She really made this work in her favor.
