Fangz Museum #11 – Scratch Williams

Scratch Williams is a multi-media artist you’d like to keep your eyes on, as someone who works hard to push the limits his art reaches, Scratch is always one upping his last piece with his unique take on Post-Surrealism. However, Scratch is always trying to reach the undefined area of art, and you can see that with each new piece he releases on Twitter. Born in Southern California, he recently has been moving around looking for the right place, as of now he lives in Philadelphia. During his five-year journey with art he has found himself his own complex and tranquil art style, closely resembling a modern version of surrealism. Scratch is primarily self taught, however, he participated in a few art courses at the Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California. When working on art he doesn’t let a specific medium take a hold of him. Scratch enjoys switching between mediums such as a pen, pencil, Copic markers, and oil paint.

Always In The Back Of My Head

Always In The Back Of My Head

Personally, the pieces that Scratch makes with pen and markers are my favorite and stand out the most, every piece I’ve seen of his has a story within it or a message to portray. Using calm colors and smooth beings give you a sense of being tranquil in a full room. Using a lot of wordplay in his pieces, Scratch lays out a visual dialogue for the viewer to examine and get lost in. What do you think about Scratch Williams art? Leave you comments below.
